Position Overview: As a Business Administration and Sales Intern at Bellamy Loft, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in both administrative operations and sales within the event industry. This internship is designed to provide exposure to various aspects of business administration, customer relations, and sales techniques. You will work closely with our team to support day-to-day operations while also assisting with sales initiatives to drive business growth.

Responsibilities
The extent of your responsibilities will depend on the number of hours you commit to working with us. Below is an outline of the expected responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Handle data entry, emails, calls, file organization, finance, and appointment scheduling efficiently.
- Sales: Support lead generation, sales closure, prospecting, and follow-ups to boost sales conversions.
- Marketing: Create content, manage websites, capture product photos, handle social media, and oversee sub-brands and promotional campaigns.
- Business Management: Aid in team oversight, team building, problem-solving, and plan implementation along with sister companies.
- Business Development: Identify growth opportunities, forge partnerships, develop strategies, and engage in networking events to expand clientele.
- System Improvements: Contribute to process and system improvements for enhanced efficiency and productivity.
- Client Relations: Engage with clients, address inquiries, process orders, and ensure top-notch customer service throughout the sales process.
- Data Management: Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and records for accurate and accessible information.
- Event Support: Provide event assistance, including staff scheduling, guest list management, and on-site coordination, setup, teardown.
- Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify clients, analyze trends, and gather competitive insights for informed sales strategies.
- Sales Reporting: Prepare detailed sales reports and analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
- Office & Showroom Maintenance: Manage office cleanliness, supplies, equipment, and facilities. Preserve showroom appearance through routine cleaning tasks.
- Staging: Assist in staging for presentations, including showroom, photo shoots, and events, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics.
- Inventory Management: Track, monitor, and report inventory levels. Replenish stock as needed and organize and pack items for storage or display.
- Client Order Processing: Manage client orders from paperwork processing to vendor coordination, preparation and packing of orders.
- Assistance to Management: Support management and sister companies with ad hoc tasks, marketing, sales projects, and other requirements as needed.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work execution.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Ability to lift and move items as needed for inventory management and event support tasks.
- Access to a laptop, smartphone and high speed internet for work-related tasks.
- Safety shoes required for on-site support tasks.
Details
- Internships span a minimum of 3-4 months.
- Availability of a minimum of 16 hours per week, including event weeks and weekends.
- Interns may undertake tasks for sister companies and sub-brands under BELLAMY LOFT as needed.
- College credit is available; applicants are encouraged to consult with academic advisors for credit requirements.
