Position Overview: Join us at Bellamy Loft as an Event Production and Management Intern. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn the ins and outs of event organization, from logistics coordination to client management. Responsibilities

Your level of responsibilities may vary by the number of hours you dedicate to working with us and various factors. Below, we’ve outlined the expected duties, which may apply to both Bellamy Loft, its sub-brands and sister companies:

  • Assisting in event planning, design, and production
  • Assist in event coordination, installation, being attendant, serving, teardown and cleanup
  • Assist in client appointments, processing client orders, data entry & customer service
  • Handle customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Scheduling and hosting site visits
  • Processing paperworks for clients, vendors and partners
  • General office work and maintenance, cleanup, showroom staging and some website work
  • Ensure that event facility/venue is left in a clean and orderly condition
  • Inventory assistance, organizing, preparing and packing client orders and unpacking & cleaning decor and rental items
  • Confirm that all decor items, tools and equipment are returned clean, and properly stored
  • Properly pack, clean and handle inventory to protect against damage and deterioration
  • Assist in marketing, content creation and promoting our brand and events
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive efforts and successful project execution.
  • Data entry tasks such as research, book keeping & cash flow management
  • Crafting, painting, floral design, balloons, decor – lots of craft!
  • All other production and event-related tasks

Requirements

  • Enrolled in Event Management or Event Planning, Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work execution.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Ability to lift and move items as needed for inventory management and event support tasks.
  • Access to a laptop, smartphone and high speed internet for work-related tasks.

Details

  • Internships are at least 90-120 days in length
  • Interns must be available a minimum of 16 hours a week onsite, and during event weeks & weekends (and also past midnight during events)
  • We also run sub-brands (relevant to events/design industry). You will be assign relevant tasks for our sub-brands when needed.
  • This internship is unpaid and intended for students fulfilling academic requirements. We recommend you talk with your academic advisor to see what steps are necessary to get credit with your particular institution.
