Join us as we embark on a journey into the world of Catherine Langlois, a realm where dreams are woven into delicate fabrics and where every bride discovers her own unique fairytale.

What inspired you to start designing/selling wedding dresses?

I studied fashion design at TMU/Ryerson and started making gowns for friends and relatives. My graduating collection was wedding dresses and it cascaded from there!

Can you describe your most popular wedding dress style or collection?

Jasmine draws brides in who want a wildly romantic look. It’s the quality and variety of work my studio produces that appeals to a refined and unique bride. Even though I follow fashion trends, there is a timeless and elegant aesthetic to my designs.

Why should brides consider choosing a dress from your boutique/designs?

Quality and skill of workmanship, unique yet timeless design, and variety of cost

What advice do you have for brides when selecting their wedding dress?

Think about what makes you feel beautiful and confident. Don’t be influenced by trends, friends or celebrities. It is YOUR wedding dress – not a fashion show or a contest as to who has the most trending dress.

Top 3 advice to bride & groom to be’s

Stay chill – it’s just a big party. Stay chill – it’s about declaring your commitment to each other. Stay chill – no one is going to notice the little flaws on the day. Just have enough food!

We have always designed for any shape, size, height, background and will make your ideal gown a reality.

Choosing a Catherine Langlois wedding dress supports an independent designer and a Made in North America business

Our wedding dresses are made from natural silks, quality synthetics, eco options when available and vintage fabrics and laces. We also offer Vegan fabric options on selected designs.

We source fabrics from around the world, preferring to work with respected family owned businesses and have forged personal relationships with our suppliers.

Every wedding dress is made to order, one at a time for each unique bride. We carry no excess stock other than our samples, which we sell at a discount. Fabric remnants are donated to schools, craft organizations and textile artists to keep our studio waste to a minimum.

All the wedding dresses are made by hand in our studio, not identically mass made in a factory. For highly detailed gowns there may be slight differences from the sample design shown on the website compared to your gown. This indicates the garment was made by an artist who is choosing placement of applique and beading to best suit the design and size of the dress.
